On Saturday, May 22 we added the newest member of the Krueger family and that is Charlie the Chihuahua. He was about 8-9 weeks old when we got him, and he has been a lot of fun. When we first got him and brought him home he was a little shy and scared to really do a whole lot other than be held and cuddle. But now that we've had him for almost a week AND because Tilly has been teaching him her ways, he is really starting to show his true self! He runs almost as fast as Tilly and they are constantly wrestling with each other. One of Charlie's favorite things to do is when Tilly is sleeping he sneaks up on her and bites her ears. She loves it of course :P

We made the decision to get another puppy because we knew that we were going to be saying goodbye to Purdie, and hopefully having a new little guy in the house would help make that situation easier. We also thought that it would be a good idea so that Tilly could have a playmate, and they have both adjusted to that aspect quite quickly! He was also going to be a good thing for me because while AJ is gone for his deployment, having Charlie and Tilly will keep me a bit more busy, occupied and distracted until he returns home next year.

Charlie should be about the same size as Tilly at the biggest once he is full grown. Although Tilly did get to be bigger than what she was supposed to, so we will just have to see how big Charlie decides to get! For now, we are enjoying his little self and we've been having fun with starting over with the whole potty training thing and trying to get him to transition to hard food instead of just soft. But so far he has been a lot of fun! :)
