Creamy Onion Lasagna & Layered Peanut Butter Brownies

This year I have set a goal to try 50 new recipes. It's totally do-able as I have SO MANY recipes I already have that I would like to try at some point, it's just a matter of getting the ingredients, having the time, and deciding what to make them for! I guess we will just have to see how close to "fifty" I can get!

Last week I tackled 2 new recipes. The first was for Creamy Onion Lasagna (recipe found here). I don't have a 'regular' lasagna recipe, so when looking for one I came across this one. It is quite similar to regular lasagna, but the twist is mixing in a small container of french onion dip with the cottage cheese. French onion dip is my favorite, so I just had to try it!

This is definitely a recipe to keep as the hubby even warmed up the leftovers multiple times the next few days! I think that next time I make it though, I will get a different sauce to replace the Italian sausage as it had a strange flavor to me and threw off a few bites here and there. I also doubled the amount of cottage cheese it called for as the majority of the review suggested such!

The second recipe I tried was for Layered Peanut Butter Brownies (recipe found here). I actually tried this one out on our small group from church, and thankfully it turned out and they were all good sports about giving this new recipe a try! These brownies have a made-from-scratch brownie bottom, a layer of crunchy peanut butter, and then are topped with a made-from-scratch fudge-like frosting. VERY RICH! Very Delicious! Will definitely make them again :)
